Solid Oak Furniture

We use solid oak where we feel that this is the best material for the job but we sometimes use engineered timber or veneers if we feel that this will minimise the possibility of your furniture splitting or cracking – something that no-one can guarantee will not happen when you are dealing with a living material such as solid oak. All of the drawers in our oak chest of drawers, cupboards, cabinets and wardrobes have traditional dovetailed drawers.

Our furniture is finished with a hard wearing lacquer that both minimises maintenance and helps keep your furniture looking as good as new for a long time.  Our oak furniture is available in either a natural, light oak which is oak that has not been stained, just finished in a clear lacquer.  This would be, for example, our Glendon Oak Living and Dining Furniture. We also do ranges in a rustic, country oak such as our Ellestock Oak Living and Dining Furniture.  This furniture is a medium oak in colour which helps to enhance the natural beauty of the knots and natural blemishes that occur in this kind of oak.  This is seeing oak in all its natural glory so slight natural blemishes are a feature of this range.
